In 2 Corinthians 3:2–3, Paul writes to the church in Corinth:

You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all. And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

What a powerful image: Christians are living letters from Christ to the world. Our lives are read every day by our families, coworkers, neighbors, and even strangers. We may be the only Bible some people “read” this week.

This isn’t about putting on a show or pretending to be perfect—it’s about being transformed by Christ from the inside out. When the Spirit of God writes on the heart, our actions, our words, and even our tone begin to reflect Jesus more clearly. A kind word in the grocery store, forgiveness when wronged, patience with a child, compassion for the hurting—these are the paragraphs and punctuation of our letter.

The church isn’t called to shout at the world from a distance, but to live among the world as ambassadors of Jesus (2 Cor. 5:20). As you go about your week, remember: you are a living letter from Christ. Let’s make sure the message we send reflects His grace, His truth, and His love.

Grace and peace,
Daniel
