There’s a subtle lie many Christians carry deep down: “If I were more faithful, I could fix this.”
The conflict in your family.
The friend walking away from God.
The weight of suffering you see in the world.

You care, so you carry. And carrying is good. Galatians 6:2 says,

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

But a few verses later, Paul adds:

“Each one will have to bear his own load” (Gal. 6:5).

So which is it—carry each other’s burdens or carry our own?

The answer is both—but not all.

God does not ask you to be the Savior. You’re not Jesus. And that’s not just a relief—it’s a calling. We point people to Jesus, we walk with them, we pray and love and speak truth—but we cannot be their fixer.

Even Jesus didn’t force people to believe or obey. He loved them, told them the truth, and gave them the dignity of a response.

So this week, release the pressure to fix it all. Instead, love faithfully, pray earnestly, speak gently, and trust deeply. That’s your part. The rest belongs to God.
